Dear Family and Friends,

It is with the grace of our everlasting Lord that I write this letter to you. It is hoped that the Lord has been faithful to you and your family.

I am writing to share with you some exciting news in my life but first let me rewind a bit to explain how this upcoming journey developed. In 2010 Haiti went through one of the worst earthquake recorded in history. I volunteered in Second Harvest in Jacksonville who was helping gathering and sending all the needs to this broken country. As I was helping I questioned myself “why not go there?” They not only need materials but also the energy, smiles, and hopes. I had my mind made up but God told me “not yet” because He had different plans for me. Soon after, God led me to be part of a new youth ministry group called Genesis. Since then I have found the love to help and guiding young individuals not only through life’s challenges but also guide them to our Great Savior. Through string of events God brought back Haiti to my attention when I met a priest, in January of 2013, who invited me to a short missionary trip to the country that I wanted to help. Sadly I was not able to be part of that trip either.

While remaining optimistic I read this excerpt:  “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nationsMatthew 28:19. Then it made sense to me, Haiti isn’t the only nation broken which need helping hands, hope, and the word of God. Thanks to a friend I discovered Adventures in Missions which developed the program of World Race. World Race is a missionary program that will lead a team of missionaries to 11 needed countries in 11 months. During that time my team and I will help orphanages, hospitals, nursing homes, churches and plant seeds of hope and faith in those who haven’t had the opportunity to meet our Savior Jesus Christ.

I accepted this call knowing with confidence that this is what God wants for me to do and He will provide with the necessities. I know this ordeal will be very challenging but with your prayers and if it is God’s will it will be done. In order for me to be part of this life changing missionary trip I need to raise $15,500 to cover all of the field expenses. This is another reason I am writing you this letter to ask if you would consider supporting me through this journey both prayerfully and financially.

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to share in this ministry. The financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation. However you choose the amount from start to finish. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you prefer to make your donation online, you can do it by visiting my blog site www.jancarlodelvalle.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and thank you for your much needed support.

May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly.

Yours in Christ,
