Searching for the Faithful: Laos
Let’s read about the parable of talents, in which Jesus tells us about a master and his three servants, found in Matthew 25:14-30. The parable describes to us how the master entrusted a different amount of talents to each servant and how each servant took care with what was given. Two of the servants used their talents to produce more talents, all for his master’s glory. Another simply hid the talent and chose to do nothing with what he was given. In the same way God blesses all His faithful servants who work with what was entrusted to them, whether He entrusted them with little or much. Even if He entrusts you with a little bit, remain faithful for when He sees your faithfulness He will reward you with abundance.
The World Race has a new developing program called Unsung Heroes. The purpose of this program is to search for those faithful servants and reward them. We search for Christian ministries who, whether they are well-known or not, can be partnered with the World Race in the future. It doesn’t matter what kind of ministry it is – prison, orphanage, street evangelism, lepers, street youth – as long as they are Kingdom focused. Our prayers and hope is to find them and have future World Racers be part of those ministries so that together we can continue expanding God’s Kingdom.
This month Team Halas has been assigned to represent the World Race and search for the unsung heroes in Pakxe, Laos. Due to the restrictions in Laos with Christianity the search will be much different than other months in which internet was a helpful resource to find ministries. This month will be guided solely by the Holy Spirit who will guide us as we walk and create relations around the area with faith that we will find Christian ministries. It might not be easy but we will also remain faithful, take what has been entrusted to us and see it as opportunities and not limitations of the Kingdom.
People of the world, as the word of God says in Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we de not give up.” For there’s not good work that goes unnoticed and unrewarded. Remain faithful and the Father of Heaven will bless you whether in this flesh life or in the eternal life.
I would also like to request prayers for the squad as we go through closed countries in which spreading and teaching God’s beautiful words is forbidden. Half of the Squad will be heading to Myanmar and another half will be in Laos. All for the same purposes: find His faithful servants and continue spreading His Kingdom.
God bless.
If anyone knows about any Christian ministries in any of these two countries that we could get in contact with and possibly partner with in the future please contact me with any info. To make things easy, the point of contact(s) have to know English or have a translator so we can communicate effectively.
Due to the restrictions of the country this month I will have to be careful in the things I communicate in the media and how I express things. So the communication in the social media will be low and the vocabulary might change slightly. Thank you all for your understanding, prayers, and support.
With one month left in the deadline I’m still short of $5,000 to be fully funded. When God has a will it will come through even from unknown sources. I ask for you to prayerfully consider continuing to help me with this Kingdom work financially or also by spreading the word of my journey.
