One Last Push: Fundraising Update
With us being at the halfway point of the World Race journey, and the last fundraising deadline coming at the end of this month, I want to give you a quick update of how I am doing personally and how I’m doing financially.
Personally, each day becomes more challenging but each day gets better.
What do I mean by that?
First, one thing that anyone who knows me can tell you is that I am a person who is very attached to my family. God has blessed me with an incredible, loving family. He gave me parents who are beautiful inside-and-out, a caring and protective brother, a loving sis-in-law, and a joyful, energetic, heart-warming niece and nephew. As of week 2 of the Race, this has been the longest I have ever gone without seeing or being around any of them.
Second, this month has been an uneasy challenge. To do His Kingdom work in a country in which His words can’t be publicly shared, and to spread His loving ways without showing things out loud, has been a stretching and learning experience. It totally challenges the perspective of what ministry is.
Third, I’m usually the type that challenges and takes pride in doing things on my own. At my own pace, my own route, my own ways. So while I have mentioned before that community wasn’t my thing, it pretty much means that communication wasn’t my thing either. Sure, I know how to talk, but I never felt like I had the need to deeply communicate with other people.
For every challenge there’s a lesson learned and new growth. This is why we need to welcome and accept any challenges with grace. Never view any challenge as a possible limitation but rather as an opportunity. In five and a half months my personal and spiritual growth has been far more than I ever imagined, and I’m excited for what God is going to do in the next five and a half months.
Now, here’s where I am financially regarding the next deadline. The deadline is on July 1st and I’m still $4,774.77 short of the total amount needed to finish the Race. This is what I need to continue this journey and continue growing. Please, if it’s in your heart I would ask for you to prayerfully consider helping me continue to do Kingdom work by making a donation towards my account. There are other ways you can help me meet this deadline. One is to keep me in your prayers. There’s not a prayer that goes unheard, so pray that God makes the moves to make this possible.
