We made it to Mozambique. Right now we are in the city of Maputo, which is the capital of Mozambique. Our ministry contacts live in Maputo but have a ministry in Chibuto, which is in northern Mozambique. Right before we arrived here our ministry contact had an emergency surgery, so we are remaining in Maputo until further notice. After 20+ hours of driving from South Africa, thru Swaziland, into Mozambique. We spent 3 hours (2am-5am) at the border of Mozambique and Swaziland trying to get our Visa’s. We thought our drive from Johannesburg to Mozambique would take about 6 hours. Little did we know, it would take us 20 hours!! We had 2 trailers and 3 mini busses on our journey.

We are staying in a house with our contacts and their 2 children (ages 2 and 13). Jamos and I have our own room, where they store speakers and all equipment for the outreaches. We have a mosquito net- though it is VERY hot at night.

On our first day here, we spent the morning/afternoon doing house visits. We basically just walked in the sand (it really is sandy around here) house to house- just walking into the little homes- singing in African- and then praying for the family in the home. It was awesome. We did pray for the sick and for a woman who has a spinal injury. I can’t wait to go back and pray again and see her healed!
