We only just arrived in Mozambique when we were headed out to do home visits- where we walk around the community on sand covered roads and pray for people in their homes. In one of the homes, which is normally just a concrete shell of a house, the size of your kitchen, there was a woman on the floor wrapped in clothe. She was ill. We had no idea what was wrong with her- but we prayed for her and that the Lord would heal her. We sang songs in Mozambique and continued down the sandy path to the next house. When we got to the next house, there was a woman laying under a tree trying to eat rice. Every time she tried to move, her entire body was spasm and she would hit her head on the tree. We finally got her to lay down and prayed over her. She had some sort of spine injury. I felt the Holy Spirit and I was sure that when I opened my eyes she would be healed- ready to jump and dance for the Lord and what he has done in her life. Well, I opened my eyes, and she was still laying there, under the tree, in the dirt, with spasms. I felt sure that God was going to heal her and I could not wait to go back to the same house to pray again and to see her. Well, in the mean time, we had a bit of a tropical depression and got a LOT of rain here in Maputo. Streets flooded and homes were destroyed. Finally, the rain stopped. Our team was off again visiting homes in the day and outreach at night.  We went back to the house with the woman on the floor. Guess what? She was not on the floor with sickness anymore. She was HEALED! And we got to meet her husband and pray thanksgiving over her! Next, we found ourselves at a baby dedication party (lots of singing and dancing with the newborn child…) and I looked up and THERE SHE WAS! The woman who had the spine injury! She was laughing and dancing and was totally healed!!!

At an outreach. These people came forward to accept Christ into their lives.

So far our time in Mozambique has been full of ministry when it is not raining! Like I said, we do home visits in the day and then at night we drive to a location, set up 6 HUGE speakers, blast music, and then Feltio, our contact will preach. We have seen many come to Christ. At the end of each outreach people come forward for prayer and our team gets to lay hands on each person who comes forward to pray for them. We even saw a demon cast out of a woman. You would not believe how much Africans love to dance! I am fairly certain the term DANCE PARTY came from Africa! We spend at least an hour or more dancing at the outreaches.
