It has been over a month since I last blogged and I feel that there have been a lot of changes over that short amount of time.

Actually, the day I wrote my previous blog, sharing with you Kid President and his challenge to “be gooder than that” –my granny celebrated her 92 birthday!

And, nearly 3 weeks after she celebrated the day of her birth, I was in Florida celebrating her life at her funeral. I could probably write 100’s of blogs about my granny and the impact she has had on my life.

I always knew I was lucky to have both of my grandma’s alive well into my 30’s- but as I celebrated granny- I really felt BLESSED by her life. I spoke at her funeral and let everyone know that my granny was my number 1 fan. She was a big part of my life- not just on holidays or special occasions, but she was the kind of granny that we saw a lot during the week too.

She LOVED me. And I knew it. Even in the hospital as she lay there unable to speak due to the stroke that invaded her body- she used her good arm to touch my face and bring me comfort as we held hands. I knew what she was saying each time I indicated I loved her- she was saying “I love you too, Dolly.

In other news, I turned 33 last week. And, that is all I will say about that. I mean, the marketing department threw me a HOLLYWOOD theme party, where they made me walk a red carpet, get attacked by camera’s and crazed fans wanting an autograph and I even got a song written about me. It was pretty fantastic and creative, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from the marketing department at Adventures.

Life at our Center for Global Action house is going well. Just last night we had a fire in the fireplace with a movie and popcorn. Those are the moments I love creating for these girls. A place of comfort and an environment that makes it feel like home. We are really enjoying living in community and experiencing life with these fantastic women.

Last month, Jamos was able to travel with the COO, Tim Abare, to Seattle to build relationships with donors and potential partners. Jamos’ current role is building partnerships for an event that Adventures puts on called EPOCH.

This is a time for volunteers/those in ministry/people doing good around the world to be honored for their hard work. The finalists are brought to Atlanta from around the world and we honor them with a fantastic event. If you are interested in nominating someone, please do! They could get up to $50,000 to continue their ministry.

You can visit the website here, www.epochawards.com or to join the event as a partner (with some great advertising perks!).

In April Jamos and I are schedule to help lead our first weeklong mission trip with Adventures! We are helping lead a large group on a work trip to PA! We are really excited to begin leading trips as we can.

God is good to us and we really enjoy living a life of service! Thank you for being a part of the journey we are on. We can’t do it without you and frankly, we would not want to do it without you and your support! So, thank you!
