If you got our support letter- you may have seen that it indicates an April 1 deadline to give towards sending us on The World Race. Well, don't worry! That was just our first deadline for support raising!
We can actually raise funds until we have been on the race for 6 months! Of course, our goal is to be fully funded before we leave in July- BUT- the whole point is- PLEASE GIVE! There is still time for you to send your support and we NEED IT! As you can see – we still need to raise over $17,000 until we are fully funded!
Here is a detailed description of the support raising deadlines that we have to meet:
We have to have $7,000 in our account by May 20
We have to have $13,000 by the time we LEAVE the country: July 1
We have to have $22,000 by September (3 months on the race)
And, we have to be FULLY FUNDED by December 2011 (MAX raise: $34,000) (this is also month 6 of the race).
*We can raise above and beyond the cost of the trip up to $34,000- to help us pay for our flights to training camp and our flights to our departure city within the US. We can also raise money to help us pay for our insurance we have to purchase and the cost of vaccinations (so far that has cost us over $600 out of pocket).
