I have some nighttime nuggets that I felt like sharing….

You know as both Emily and I continue to prepare for the World Race it only becomes more clear and evident that we are to pursue this.  Part of this reassurance is due to all of you who are reading this and supporting us financially, in prayer, and encouragement.

Philippians 4:6– “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.“
Assurance comes from my wife and my dependence on the Lord.  God has called Emily and myself to step out of our comfort zone and stand out in a crowd.

I was recently reading through a sermon on Jabez and came across this profound statement, “Far too many people settle for mediocrity, because they try to accomplish only what they, “by themselves”, can accomplish.”  Mediocrity is extremely subjective so take it in the context of your own life.  But I know in my own, taking this leap into the WR will without a doubt be a jumping off point that will propel both Emily and I far from mediocrity in our lives and thrust us into depending on God like never before!
This journey brings its own questions, fears, and stress BUT I am tired of making excuses, it is TIME to step out cast our cares on Jesus and let Him work out the details.  We plan to become an active participant in mobilizing our generation for Jesus while showing love to those in the world often neglected and overlooked.

A Chinese proverb says, “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best is now.”  God continues to stand at the door and knock waiting for us to open the door.  Although the best time to do so might have been in the past, the next best time is right now!

Do not let things get misconstrued, this trip and the WOLRD RACE is NOT about Emily and I, but rather Jesus.  Emily and I both only hope that we will be able to use this experience to point others to Jesus and give God the glory for everything that happens through this our experience.

I will end with a verse in Galatians, Chapter 3, verse 11 in the Message that states, “The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him.”  Emily and I are taking a leap into the darkness knowing that God will meet us their and use us as his tools to break through the darkness.  We are embracing what God has for us in our lives, and we trust that he has got the rest.

Continue to pray for us daily!  See if God would lead you to help us to achieve our financial goal? Or leave us some encouraging comments to show your support!  God Bless!
