Just to clarify from our latest post, we are SO excited about the adventures that are ahead of us and don’t want to seem like we have hit a wall we can’t break thru quite easily. It is a new day, and a new week!

If you are wondering what our typical day looks like- it is like this: work 8 +hours at our job, come home, make phone calls, get the uhaul, collect boxes for moving, call about the travel insurance we need to purchase, purchase plane tickets for training camp, figure out how to move across the country, get shots, go to the doctor to get a year’s supply of all medications, go to a travel doc about malaria, sell all our stuff in the house, fundraise, sell a car, change address, write resignation letters to employers we LOVE, get a day planner to keep track of the next year of our lives and deadlines (like taxes , insurance payments, and birthdays),  pack items we aren’t selling, purchase things we need for the trip, research items we need for the trip… are you having a panic attack yet?! Trust me- it is a lot- but we are doing it. And a great testament to this is that we are doing this TOGETHER! As a team. We tackle these items like it is no one’s business. Is it scary? YES! Is it hard sometimes? YES! Is one of us weak when another is strong? YES!  Can we do this? YES!

The craziest part- for those of you who know me- this is something totally out of character for me. I dislike change, I dislike not knowing what is going on next month, and I love to be in control. But, I am doing WELL!  I am trying to learn to embrace the unknown, to relax, because worrying gets me NO WHERE!

I have even started to wear florescent pink nail polish- just because it is different- and that is the season of life I am entering as a wife, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and friend. Change is a-coming and I am going to embrace it- and pray that God uses this time to make me who he wants me to be!

So, in all of that that I think the main message we were trying to say in the previous post is if donating to us is on your heart, please do- to help us reach our goal of being fully funded before we leave in July.
We have been BLESSED by the donation of complete strangers and of course, those who love us most. For those who cannot give financially, they have offered to do fundraisers for us or send us supplies that we will need for the raise. People have opened their homes for us to have garage sales and have purchased our items that we need to sell before leaving the country. It has been AMAZING to see how people have hearts of gold and want to watch us go and change the world!

Soon we will be heading to training camp, where we will meet our 68 other team members who will be on this race with us for the next year! I am sure we will have some crazy stories about our time at training camp!

WE HAVE A NEW FUNDRAISER! We are selling WORLD RACE T-shirts! We are selling them like girl scout cookies. We collect the money and the order- and then you will get your shirt. It may take 2 weeks, but you will get it!

Check out the picture of the shirt and if you want to purchase one, you can e-mail me or leave a comment with your address and then just click on the link and pay with a credit card!  You can select CREW neck or V-neck and your size by clicking on the link!  The shirts are $20 plus $5 for shipping!

Love and HUGS!

The verse on the shirt reads, "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1
