As Jamos and I push to get fully funded before we leave for Ecuador on July 12– we wanted to tell you where the money you have donated (or plan to donate!) goes. First you must understand that this is a year of abandonment of possessions. This started for us a few months ago as we sold our furniture, clothes, and other items that accumulated in the last 31 years of my life (27 of Jamos’ life).

This mentality will continue as we live out of a pack for the next 11 months. The packing list goes something like this: 7-10 shirts, 1 pair of jeans, 5 pair of socks, 7 pairs of underwear… yes, this is for the next YEAR.

Our housing can range from our tent in a field or a backyard in Peru to staying in a missionaries home in a bed they have given up for us.

Our showers will likely be with baby wipes….

With the money you have sacrificially given on our behalf, we will be living on $3.75 per day. This small amount of money that you may pay to get fries and a shake at McDonalds will be what we are living on each day for the entire year.  This will pay for a day’s worth of food, bottled water, our lodging facilities, translators, and transportation to ministry sites. The money raised also pays for all of our international flights for the next 11 months!!

We are SO close to our personal deadline goal of being fully funded before we leave in LESS than two weeks! We still have shirts for sale and need to get them sold before we leave!!!
If you want a shirt, just e-mail me: [email protected] and I can send you an AWESOME shirt.

Thank you- Thank you- Thank you- for all your support and encouragement! We can’t say it enough…THANK YOU!!! Each of you who pray for us and support us financially are going out into the world to make it a better place too!

Jamos and I are carrying you with us in our hearts and actions with each child we take off the streets or out of the dumps to the women we are able to remove from human trafficking. Aren’t YOU excited for this adventure?!?!

Remember: to donate on the blog- just click on the “support us” tab on the left hand side of our blog…it is just that easy!
