I exit a small hole-in-the-wall bookstore and find that God has allowed pouring rain to come visit again. I could complain and stay in the bookstore and wait out the storm, but I decide otherwise and take my shoes off, hold onto my ankle length skirt, and walk home.
I sit in a coffee shop under a fan to help stop the dripping sweat that is racing down my back and look up to find a beautiful blonde woman that it seems God wants me to share a soda with.
I sit down in the backyard of a beautiful Nepalese family, I watch a family of ducks waddle by, and I place my foot on a cultural knife and do my part in preparing a meal with women in the Tharu community.
I cast out a fishing net alongside men and women in the Tharu community and laugh at how biblical this afternoon is after we fish for hours and find little to no fish in our nets- and the ladies laugh too.
I ride a rickety bike through the jungle singing Rascall Flatts with my new best friends and shout jokes at our jungle guide to make him laugh and feel loved.
These are all snapshots into my time in Nepal, beautiful moments where God showed up, poured His love into me and out to others. I’m so thankful for the moments where I was able to grab my camera and capture these moments to give you MORE of a snapshot into my time in Nepal.
These photos tell a story, and although they get loaded out of order, I hope you enjoy them.
