This is my Thank You letter to my supporters that I sent out today from the list of emails given through donations on my blogsite. I know many of you gave over Venmo, cash, check, anonymously etc. and I do not have your email, so please please please READ so you can hear my thankful heart!

To you, my supporters, this Christmas season,

Many months ago I received the notification that I was fully funded for my missions trip with Adventures in Missions called the World Race. For many months I have wondered how it was all possible that I could raise over 18 thousand dollars in order to go to 11 countries in 11 months. There have been many times during this last year where I didn’t know if I was supposed to go on the World Race, if I was cut out for it, or if I could really raise that much money. Everytime I questioned myself or God, He proved this is where I was supposed to be by being Jehovah-Jireh. He provided. It felt like He basically slid a check for 18 grand across the table and gave me a wink.

For those of you who do not know, I graduated from Multnomah University on Friday, December 15th. I received a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology, a Bachelor’s in Global Studies, and a Minor in Children at Risk.

This week I am packing up all my belongings in Portland. I will have a short time in Orange County before leaving for the World Race. I am only 23 days away from launching on this crazy journey.

The entire year of 2017 was preparation for what 2018 will hold. I applied in January of this year, got accepted in February, committed in March, started fundraising in April, did a giant fundraiser in July, got fully funded in September, got training in October, and have finished the year getting my shots, meds, and the rest of my gear. This entire year has lead up to this entire moment and now it is here.

I want to take this moment to intentionally THANK YOU for your support. Thank you for giving up your time, talents, and finances in order to see me go on this journey of a lifetime. Thank you for showing up to my fundraisers, for donating what you could, for praying for me, for encouraging me and standing by me as I prepare for this journey. Thank you for selflessly taking money out of your paycheck and putting it towards building the kingdom of God. Thank you for dealing with my endless and annoying posts on Facebook! Thank you for cheering me on from the sidelines. Thank you for doing silly things to show your support like subscribing to my little blog and youtube channel! Thank you for committing to pray for me while I am gone- that one means the WORLD. Thank you.

These words cannot fully describe my gratitude towards you! I wish I had all the money in the world to send each of you a Christmas gift this season to show my true appreciation. I am not able to be a light in this world without the body of Christ. You guys are my team, and though I am the one going out, you are all going with me. You have chosen to be an important part of the body of Christ.

My friends, in all honesty, I am scared. I face danger, sickness, uncertainty, confusion, and hard circumstances ahead in this next year. BUT… I know I have an incredible support system that pushes me forward and helps give me faith. I know you guys are praying, you are reading about my journey, you are watching, and you are cheering me on. Wow. What a beautiful picture. God has used you in unimaginable ways in becoming a part of my team. Thank you to those who gave, who gave enormous amounts, or the change out of their back pocket. Thank you to those who gave their hearts and their words to me in moments of discouragement. Thank you for mentoring me in this process and teaching me about joy, hope, leadership, and faith.

In this next year, when you read about the good ministry that God is able to do through me, please know that it is all because of you. All of you, hearing the call to be the body of Christ for this one woman as she follows her call to go. Every person that becomes a believer on this trip, I thank God for you. Every encounter that shows God’s endless and abounding love, I thank God for you. Every moment where I become closer to the Creator of the universe and fall more in love with Him, I thank God for you.

From the bottom of my heart, with all of my being, with all that I have, THANK YOU.

I am beyond excited to see what God will do through me this year, because of your generosity.

Stay tuned for some epic stories of God’s goodness.

All my love,

Jamilyn

P.s. I made you a video to say thank you! Please watch! I don’t have much to give you to show my appreciation, but I can make videos to show my undying gratitude.
