Why the World Race?
Why are you doing the world race? A question that a lot of racers have received, including myself. Sometimes it can be really hard to put into a quick answer, but here I go.
After being accepted to the World Race in July of 2018, my answer was I am saying yes to God and being obedient to His plan for my life. Earlier this month, I went to training camp and came back with a whole new perspective of the World Race and this thing I call a mission trip, and I realized there is so much more than just saying yes.
Doing the World Race is about joining God where He is already working and getting to be used as a vessel for people to see more of Jesus.
A reason I am not doing this race is, I am not trying to be the hero because there is only one hero and that is Jesus. I am not trying to change a nation, but rather love and serve the people/communities of the amazing places my team and I get to go to.
I found that showing up for people and letting Jesus pour out of you is a great way to build the Kingdom. I realized my purpose in life is to be loved and bring the Kingdom to Earth, and doing the Race is a way I can do that!
So that is my quick answer but if you would like to learn more about my process of deciding to go on the race, send me a message! I would love to talk to you about it.
Thanks for checking out my blog!
