I have been at Johannesburg, South Africa for about a week now and it has been amazing. Within this first week we had to first travel over 45 hours to get here which was an adventure within itself. We got to explore Boston and then spend 12 hours on a plane then another 8 hours on another plane ride then a 40 minute drive to our home for the month. It was exhausting but filled with so much excitement because I am starting my journey of 11 months of travelling to 12 countries to spread the gospel.

My team and 3 other teams from my squad arrived at Impact Africa’s base on Wednesday (8/7/19) morning and got to take showers IN A NORMAL SHOWER. Bless up!! Then we got to explore the beautiful place we get to call home for a month. This place has great beds, warm shower, normal toilets, and great food. These few days we have been here have been incredible and it seems to keep getting better.

After a few days of rest, we finally jumped into our ministry work. Yesterday we got to go out to Diep Sloot which a place that is filled with over 300000 people within 2 miles and a lot of poverty. My team and another team had the privilege to participate in the mobile kids program called Jabulani Kids aka Happy kids.  We did a small program of worship/dancing, a game, bible verse dance, and story time. Being with these kids were really awesome because they all carried so much joy. It was a simple set up with one microphone for the translator some music and tons of fun! In picture below you can see that we just gather kids in an area in the middle of their homes and just danced and loved on them. This little girl was so happy and playful and dancing her heart out, which really speaks to my dancing heart lol.

The great thing about Impact Africa is they go to the same places and work with the kids consistently. They have developed relationships with these kids and my team got to experience a little bit of the harvest today. For the bible verse before we did the dance the kids were ask if they could say it without any help and all of them were able to say it!! That is just so amazing!! It is crazy to believe I get to be a part of this for a whole month.

My time so far at Impact Africa has been great and I can’t wait to see how the Lord will use me and my team over this next year. I can’t wait to share all the stories and growth the Lord will be doing in my life and everyone I meet!
