There was no school on tuesday. I was so happy and proud of our team! Instead of being tempted by laziness we took the bus to Antigua to do ATLs (Ask The Lord). We started many conversations with so many different types of people and got to pray over them. It was my first time and honestly … I was a bit nervous. But God being the amazing God he is- he led us the whole way.
The language was a huge barrier but that didn’t stop the Holy Spirit from working. We got to pray over one of the old ladies who sells headbands and table runners on the street. We prayed for provision for her and her family, we prayed for her old and tired legs, we prayed for joy. She started crying so hard. We also happened to run into her two other times that afternoon and both times she again started to cry.
Guatemala is so beautiful. I wish I could show you every ounce of light I see, and the contrast of the shadows, every brick wall, and all the different colorful little buildings that line the street . Oh but some of my favorite sights is when we see the volcanoes in the distance and all the clouds rap around them and the fog that —ooo it just looks so magical! Yes the one that I feel in love with is so creative and I love it.
As time goes on and on I realize how much I love living with 12 other people. Now that we are starting to get a system and a rhythm – life in our new home is just fun! There is a lot of communication and feedback and a lot of silly times around the dinner table. We have thought it would be perfect to just duck tape our go-pros around the house so that we can make a reality TV show! I feel like there are a lot of different personalities but we have used them not to to get angry with one another but rather to become a more complete body of Christ. We have a blast together and I am so blessed to be with these amazing people.
