I am a warrior. A warrior is a person engaged or experienced in warfare. A warrior has great vigor, courage, and aggressiveness. A warrior has the courage to face difficulty, danger, and pain without fear because a warrior knows who he is, why he is here, and where he is going. I was born to fight. I was born to fight in a war that I am destined to win. This fight is not physical. It is spiritual-of a heavenly kingdom-not of this world. I know who I am…an adopted son of God…seated with the Father in heavenly places. I know why I’m here…to know Him and make Him known…to make disciples of all men…to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves….and to bring honor to my King…this is why I fight. I know where I am going. My name is written in a book…I have a seat reserved…Heaven is waiting for me.
A warrior is a man of strength. The world celebrates physical strength. God celebrates spiritual strength! A warrior seeks the Lord with all of his heart, soul, and mind…stands up for what is right, and even more so, humbles himself when he is wrong…accepts rebukes graciously…pursues, no, fights for the woman he loves…is a Godly role model for his children…is passionate and adventurous…imperfect, yet beautiful piece of God. A warrior will depend on the Lord because He knows that his strength comes from God.
A warrior knows pain, trial, and heartbreak. A warrior knows that no matter how hard the battle may be, or how deep and dark the valley may seem, he is guaranteed triumph and that is where his courage lies. A warrior fights with reckless abandon. He does not sit passively watching the world go by because he know that to be passive equals death. A warrior is part of a brotherhood. A warrior defends the defenseless, orphans, abandoned, fatherless, and widows.
A warrior knows the strategy for adding men to his numbers…Discipleship. Men pouring into men…being super intentional about building his comrades up in Christ. A warrior has mentors, while mentoring others. A warrior knows the power in multiplication…discipling men who go and disciple men.
A warrior knows when to be bold and fierce, and when to go spend time alone with his King. A warriors knows that in order to be successful on the field, he must first be intimate with the Father. To spend time with him…rest in his arms…and let his battle wounds be healed.
However, there is a problem. The number of passive, apethetic, asleep, dull, coach potatoe, channel surfing, static, uninvolved men far outweighs the warriors. Thats a problem….A HUGE problem. The world is waiting for Godly Christian men to rise up, take a stand and fight for the cause of THE KINGDOM. When I think of a warrior laying down his own life for a lost soul, I think of the five men/missionaries who were martyred by the Auca Tribe in Peru. Those men were warriors…they knew the dangers, but they went anyway! We need more men like those five! Men committed to living a life of reckless abandon!
My question is………….
WHO WILL JOIN?
