The date all us Z-Squadders have been anxiously awaiting has finally been announced. I will be flying back to Atlanta the day after Labor Day, TUESDAY SEPT 6th, for LAUNCH!
Until then, I will continue to soak up the dry heat in Salt Lake City and spend time with as many Utahns as possible. So if you were hoping to squeeze in some quality time before I head out, you have exactly one month!
I have been incredibly blessed by seeing how many people are invested in this with me and were equally anticipatory of finding out my launch date. Danielle, your multiple phone calls were duly noted, and Mom, I’m excited to see that you’re excited. I spend every day in gratefulness of the loving community I am entwined in.
As far as our first month’s assignment in the Philippines, I have also just learned that my team, Team Nikao, will be working with a ministry in Manila that works with street children and orphans. We will also get to participate in some government programs, doing various projects, and we will get to partner with Team Fuego de Dios!
