Exhausted and Uncomfortable – Georgia did not disappoint… It brought on 100 degree heat and humidity, pouring lightning and thunderstorms, and itchy bug bites. I gave up on makeup two hours into camp!
Did I mention our sleeping arrangements? I think bus night was my favorite! All 59 members and their backpacks squeezed onto two school buses. I think everyone got an average of 30 hours of sleep the entire training camp!

Bus Night: This is right when we got on the bus – Everyone did not look as excited in the morning!
Chocolate, Coffee, and Diet Mountain Dew – As a lover of chocolate, coffee, and diet mountain dew I was forced into the reality that I will no longer live with these luxuries when the World Race starts! Instead we drank water, water, and more water.
So I had to ask myself – “Should I stop eating chocolate and drinking caffeine now or wait until the race starts?” – Easy answer – I’m waiting until the race starts! (I’ve already had a coffee and a diet mountain dew today and it’s only 1pm!)

Broken & Forgiven – Lesson of the week: It’s okay to be broken! Jesus loves people who are broken! I am so happy I just happened stumble on Adventures in Missions and came across the World Race when I was Googling long term mission trips. Adventures in Missions lives outside of the “box” and thrives on our relationship with Christ.
“And a voice from heaven said “This is my daughter, whom I love; with her I am pleased”. Matthew 3:17
Filled – Do you ever catch yourself smiling and when you try to stop you can’t? Well, training camp did that for me! People keep looking at me a little strangely and my face is starting to hurt a little but I am filled with so much joy!
I received confirmation from God this past week about something He has been putting in my heart over the last year. I have been placed in a leader position, leading six beautiful women of God. I feel so blessed to have each one of them on my team and cannot wait to see how their strengths contribute to our ministry.

Continue to keep my squad and me in your prayers as we process training camp and continue to prepare to launch in September.
