Usually when we get to a new country, we spend the first full day getting aquatinted with the city … Get adjusted to our living situations and maybe do a little grocery shopping. So here’s what my day was like…
We (Jon, Kesley, and me) were blessed with an amazing apartment for the first half of this month. We have a living room, dining room, and REAL beds.
The power turns on and off throughout the day. We haven’t figured out what time of day this happens but the electricity is off as I’m typing.

We take bucket showers. When the electricity’s on, the water’s hot. When its not, its cold.
We have a washer and we dry our clothes outside on a line. Thank you Jesus.
The view from our apartment deck.
We have internet through an Ethernet cable. So when I email or Skype you, this is where I'm sitting – Its Kelsey’s turn!
My roommates for the month, Kelsey and Jon!
Where we do our grocery shopping – they have real chips and shampoo and conditioner!
I keep thinking I’ll have to give up Diet Coke but India has it too. I’m one happy lady!
In India, cows are considered sacred so they are everywhere. Kind of like street dogs. Street cows.
If you know WR, you know that we have feedback and team time. We spent the evening with the AMAZING Talitha Kumi, in their feedback. If you look closely, they’re welcoming us to their apartment from the roof!
Ben modeling his millions of mosquito bites, The mosquitos are huge and yes, we have to take malaria pills!
