I hope this finds you well.
I wanted to write to you to let you know what is going on in my life right now. I graduated from OU in May of 2011. Since then I have been unsure about what my next step would be, knowing that God has called me to the far reaches of the world. That opportunity has presented itself through the World Race. I am once again following God’s call to missions. Starting in January of 2013, I will be leaving on the World Race trading my bed for a sleeping pad and my closet for a backpack
What is the World Race? The World Race is an 11 month Christian Mission trip to 11 countries around the world to serve “the least of these.” My team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, pray for the sick in hospitals, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the truth and hope of our Fathers love to many nations.
I am very excited about the opportunity God has called me to and I have every confidence that when God calls he supplies. I need to raise $15,500 in order to go on the World Race. This covers all of my expenses while I am in the field including food, lodging, and travel. It also includes other preparation, launching, debriefing and preparation costs prior to the start of the race in January. I am committed to putting as much of my own money towards this as I can but I’m also asking that you considering giving towards this journey God has called me to. This can be given as a one time donation or a monthly donation where you choose the beginning and end date. If 45 people give $1 per day for a year, $365, I would be fully funded. I have included a response card.
