On Monday we took down our tents, deflated our sleeping pads, packed up our stuff, and put on our most comfortable travel clothes and departed our Hostel in Ezulwini, Swaziland for a 24-30 hour bus ride to Cape Town, South Africa. After our first shorter bus ride to Pretoria where we were stopping to drop of two teams who will be doing ministry there this month we waited at a bus station for our next bus which would take us to Cape Town. As I walked across the street of the bus station to buy water with one of my squadmates, Cassie, I said, “I love my life, sometimes I can’t believe this is my life.” And its true, most of the time I’m so blessed and excited that this is my life, I’m not on a missions trip, I’m living life on the field for 11 months. Even on the days were life involves 2 day long bus rides, ridiculous amounts of waiting around, sleeping in a tent, sharing 2 bathrooms with 50+ people, getting up at 3:30AM to be ready for a bus, and only getting to skype friends and family once a month I love it. This is my dream, it’s what I wished for and it’s only just beginning. For those of you not sure if God will give you the desires of your heart He will, if it’s in his will and his timing He will don’t worry about that, just keep walking in His light because at the most inconvinent and in opportune times God will make your dreams come true because His dreams for you are so much bigger than the ones you have for yourself.
Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord and trust in Him and He shall bring it to pass.
