This was a BIG decision. Let me tell you! I have never prayed for something so much in my life! I had this feeling that the next school year (2011-2012) wouldn't be spent in school for me. I knew God had more planned for me during this year. I had three choices I was debating upon:
- The Honor Academy
- The World Race
- Casa de Paz Orphanage in Peru
It was between these three things that my heart/head/soul fought over for the longest time. Finally, it came down to one choice.
- The World Race
But then I had to decide when??? OH MAN…. I THOUGHT I HAD EVERYTHING FIGURED OUT!!!!
I had to decide when to go.
When would be best?
Most logical?
Easiest?
I again had numerous choices……..
- January 2011
- July 2011
- August 2011
- Sometime after that such as September/October
After a tremendous amount of prayer. An answer came to me that said…. "JULY 2011"
So I applied. And was accepted!
I had so many mixed emotions after knowing I was accepted. Not wanting to dissappoint. Or cause grief or sadness while I was away, but when you hear God's calling… you just have to listen!
So here I am on the July 2011 Squad. Working on my fundraising, getting the word out about my trip, and most of all trusting in the Lord. Trusting that this is where he wants me for these 11 months of my life and everything will work out according to His plan!
