Swaziland is a small country in Southern Africa. It is bordered by both South Africa and Mozambique. We actually drove through it on the way from South Africa to Mozambique. It is a country the size of New Jersey.  It is only 120mi North to South and 81mi East to West. What a small country! And it is about to be invaded by 50 World Racers ready to share God’s love!

Here are some facts about Swaziland:
·         60% of the population live on less than $1.25 a day!
·         There is the highest percentage of HIV infections in the world
·         Rain falls during the summer through thunderstorms
·         Summer: November- March  Avg. 68F
·         SiSwati and English are the official languages
·         82.7% of the population is Christian

As for our ministry?

We will be working with an orphanage called El Shaddai in the capital of Mbabane. We will be teaching classes, tutoring, widow work, food distrubution and probably a bunch more. It should be a good month based on previous racers comments. There are two other teams with us this month so it will be a busy month on all aspects.
