Here I am. Almost 4 months from being home from the Race. What am I up to? Not much really. I have taken a nursing assistant class and now waiting to take the state board exam to be certified. Until then, just hanging out and relaxing while I can. I have applied to finish my BSN at the University of Colorado Denver beginning again in June 2013. Prayers for acceptance and loans would be appreciated 🙂

Um. What else. Community has been good. Both at my home church and with fellow members of another Denver church. Volleyball every Saturday. Cereal dinners and hangouts. There are quite a few past world racers here in Denver which is a relief. They are someone who will always just 'get it'.

And my latest feat– I have been accepted for a week-long mission trip to Baja Mexico this Holiday season. I will be going through the organization Global Expeditions. (Though AIM will always have a special place in my heart). I leave December 28, 2012 and return January 4, 2013. Not long at all compared to the past trip being 11 months!

During this trip, my team will be helping to build a house for a family as well as run a VBS for the children while they are on school holiday. I have done this trip 2 times before and am excited to get the opportunity to go back once more. And so here I am fundraising again. But this time, it's a little less than before. For this trip which includes housing, food and ministry materials, the cost is $675. Not too bad. I do have to buy airfare to San Diego, but I am thinking I am frequent flyer miles from the race which will cover this. So you as my faithful blog reader, would like to partner financially with me once more, please go to the following link, http://www.globalexpeditions.com/donate/ and then enter my Missionary ID number which is 2443172.

I know home is a mission field, but I am excited to travel once more, speak spanish, and reach out to God's children. Thank you for your time reading. And maybe once a little more is going on in my life (other than hanging out in the apartment all day) I will have more to blog about.

God Bless!
