Want to know what a day of restaurant work is like for me? Well here is my daily schedule for a work day. It is long and I am exhausted by the end, but I would not change the ministry for anything.

6:30am–Wake up. Breakfast and Jesus time follows.
7:30am–Leave the house and walk about 8 minutes to the “Trufi stop” (which is really a guard shack)
8:00am –Arrive at the restaurant and begin work. Set up eating area.
8:30am -11:30am–Food preparation. Peel potatoes. Shuck peas. Grate cheese. Make Garlic Bread. Make Jell-O. Fry French fries. Stir the soup.

11:30am–Begin to get ready to serve lunch. Take out food. Clean up the kitchen.
12:00pm–The “lunch rush” begins.
12:00-2:00pm–Serve food. Soup and segundos (the main part of the meal). Wash dishes as they come in.

2:00pm–Our turn to eat. Make our own concoction by using whatever food is left over

2:30pm–Begin clean up. All dishes. Food taken care of. Wipe down counters. Sweep. Mop.
3:30pm–Find a trufi and head home.
4:00pm–At home. Rest. Internet.
5:00pm--Team workout. INSANITY! (that is seriously the name of it).
6:00pm–Relax. Shower. Read.
7:00pm–Dinner.
8:00pm–Hangout time. Team time. Adventure time.
9:00pm–BED!!!!

It is a long day. But so much fun. To feel like I am home with a set schedule. Work. Workout. My time.
This is a month full of comfort and to some extent luxury. But we need not get caught up in how we are living, but rather how we are serving the Lord and helping others with everything thing we do and every day we go into work at Café Ole.
