My month in Vietnam was a very difficult month, but also the most beautiful and life changing one. Our month in Vietnam was spent searching for unsung heroes as a team. We looked for new potential Partners for Aim to work with In the future. I saw the Lords faithfulness and provision in brand new ways. It went beyond being behind a computer and researching! We saw God move as we jumped head first into relationships and found a community of passionate believers who longed for Jesus to be shared. That is exactly what we found. I heard so many stories of salvation and miracles coming out of the ministries of these unsung heroes. These people risk their lives everyday to share the truth of the gospel.

In the midst of looking for unsung heroes, we also had the opportunity everyday to go out into the parks, the streets, the bars and the restaraunts. Anywhere that God was leading us to go. Anything from talking to students in the park, talking to the ladies in the streets or teaching English at McDonald’s! 🙂 I began praying at the beginning of this month for the Lord to give me His love for people and to give me His eyes to see them the way that He does.

One night Jesus lead my teammate and I to go to a particular park in the city. As we were walking in the park a lady on a bench motioned for us to come sit next to her. She had huge smile on her face as she introduced herself to us. It turns out she was homeless and had been living in the park. I immediately felt how much the lord loved this precious lady. We decided to buy her water and we prayed for her. We knew that she was the reason why we went to that park.
Another night we were walking through the park. A man walked up to us and pointed towards his stomach. He was hungry and needed something to eat. We told him we had no food. He walked away, but then quickly came back and sat on the ground in front of us. I remember thinking at the moment how much the Lord loved him. I felt like God opened my eyes to His compassionate heart for this young man. We invited him to sit with us and leaned into a conversation with him. We noticed that his leg was hurt and asked if we could pray for healing. After we prayed for him, we bought him food.

Jesus is chasing after the hearts of the people in Vietnam. It was such an honor to be apart of what the Lord is doing here.
