I have quite a few different fundraisers going on for the month of April to get things kick-started for my upcoming mission trip. So, I wanted to provide a quick summary of each for those that might be interested in getting involved…..
- Premier Designs Jewelry – 50% of each purchase will go directly towards my World Race trip. If this show makes more than $500, then I will get 75% of the total!!! You can browse their online catalog at http://www.laurenhigdon.mypremierdesigns.com/ (password is Bling – make sure the B is capitalized). All orders need to be sent directly to me (via phone, email, text or message) and can be paid
with either cash, check or credit/debit card. They currently have a buy three, get one free deal going on as well! I will need all orders in by April 11th, as that is the final date for this event. - Mary Kay – take a look at the different beauty/makeup items available at http://m.marykay.com/tsisk. 25% of the proceeds will go to my World Race account. You can place orders directly through the website and this will be good until April 30th.
- T-shirt Sale – I’ve got custom t-shirts (of various colors, sizes and prices) that I designed for sale at teespring.com/jamies-world-race-september. 100% of the profits will go directly towards my required field expenses for the World Race. This is a unique campaign in which you have 21 days to place your order for a shirt; you will NOT be charged at the time of your initial order. After 21 days, on April 27, you will then be charged and shirts shipped directly to you.
Why so many different fundraisers? First, I want to give everyone a variety of ways to contribute, and who doesn’t like getting something fun in return for donating to a good cause? Secondly, I have a LOT of money to raise in a short amount of time and need all the support I can get. Here are the 4 financial deadlines/goals I will have to meet in order to make this journey possible:
$3,500 – Due 6/12/2015 – Hit this goal on 5/15/15!!!
$10,000 – Due 8/21/2015
$13,000 – Due 10/31/2015
$16,267 – Due 12/31/2015
My personal goal, based on the advice of previous world racers, is to have the full $16,267 raised before I leave around September 4th. There will be many challenges and adjustments faced once I am overseas and fundraising during that time would be incredibly difficult, both emotionally and logistically.
If you feel called to partner with me on this journey there are a number of ways to make this possible. First, I would ask that you pray for my teammates and I as we embark on this very challenging (but rewarding) journey. Secondly, I am asking you to consider partnering with me financially. Whether you can give a one-time donation, or commit to being a monthly donor, anything at all is truly appreciated.
