This picture is from 3 years ago and every time I look at it, I remember the thought that was running through my mind: “What does it look like for me to take a leap of faith?”
No matter the season or what circumstances you’re currently in, always remember the only way to actually feel true growth in your life is by stepping out into the unknown and not letting the fear of failure or pain prevent you from stepping out.
Even when you fail or feel hurt it’s not bad but good, because that means you’re not staying in the comfort zone in life. Instead you’re still pushing yourself in the process of growth and learning/experiencing new things.
Looking back at this picture of who I was and who I am now, I feel like a completely different person, and I’m so thankful for all the times I failed and all the times I fell face first on the ground. Because I’ve always learned/gained something from it. I don’t regret any of the mistakes/failures in my life because those were the biggest learning experiences for me and shaped me into who I am now.
I know it’s easy to look at all those moments in life and choose to dwell on them with bitterness, regret & shame, or I can choose to accept them and take ownership and learn from them. We don’t always have a choice with what happens to us in life, but we always have a choice with how we behave and react to it. I’m thankful for all that I’ve learned from taking a leap of faith even the times I’ve experienced deep pain and I don’t intend on stopping anytime soon.
I encourage you to look at your current season in life and ask yourself where there’s a place in your life where you can take a leap of faith and step into it. Because I promise that no matter the outcome, you will gain something valuable from it.
