I’ve always been in a Godly environment ever since I was a young child due to my parents being missionaries overseas. During this time I had a very strong foundation in my faith and was active in many Christian activities and events leading towards a stronger relationship with God.

At the beginning of 2012, my brother was diagnosed with cancer. My family and I really had to rely on our faith in God to get us through a challenging time in our life. After his passing in early 2013, I went through some times where I felt like my faith was being tested in my walk of God. This past year I’ve been very involved with a Christian group on my college campus called Chi Alpha. My time with Chi Alpha has greatly helped me to reconnect with God and return to the strong relationship that I had with him as I was growing up on the mission field.

Because of the emphasis that Chi Alpha has in missions, I began searching for an opportunity to go overseas. I’m very excited to say that from one of my Chi Alpha friends I learned about an amazing one year long discipleship and missions program called The World Race.
