This past Friday night I went to the Senior recital of my friend Krista Little. For those of you unaware of what a Senior recital is, let me explain. As a music major, your senior year you have to perform a recital that shows the work you have accomplished. Your entire college musical performance training given in approximately thirty minutes.

To say that this is nerve-racking would be an understatement. You walk out on stage, look into the audience and see a room full of loved ones, fellow classmates, music faculty, and other various students waiting to hear you, and only you put on a performance that took you years to prepare.

To me, this kind of seems like what the race will be like. We will be out under the scrutiny of loved ones and unloved ones doing the job God has called us to. We have prepared. We have put on the armor of Christ. We stand ready to face a task that has taken us our entire Christian lives to prepare for.

Are you ready? Are you prepared to stand up and unashamedly share the gifts and talents God has given you?

Krista did a marvelous job. She was truly at her best and received a standing ovation for her hard work. She made me want to go back to school and study music more. Will you inspire people to Christ in the same way?
