I’m here at home longing to roam through a world seeking the light
I’m there in my heart ready to depart for a journey that will change my life.
I worry for friends and family staying, those who can’t go, those who are praying.
What if troubles or woes come to town, how can I help them if I’m not around?
What if they need me, what will I do, how can I help when I’m in the middle of Peru?
What if I’m injured, what if I die? I don’t want the ones I love to cry.

But, what if I put all my trust and hopes in Him?
What if I allow Him to begin
a work in the lives of the ones for whom I care?
What if He can’t do it, unless I am there,
Feeding the hungry, helping the hurt,
giving the homless by brand new, unused shirt.
What if I live a life sold out to Him?
What if it is through me His work can being?
I dare not hesitate, I dare not vacillate,
I dare not falter or procrastinate,
I leap, I jump I run the race,
I seek the prize, I seek His face.
