I don't know what it has been like for others who have come home from spending an extended period of time overseas but, for me, the process of re-entry has been an entertaining one. Here are some signs that you've been out of the country for too long.

1. You fill a bucket with the hose outside and use it to take a shower.

2. After filling said bucket you get hot water by heating it up on the stove.

3. The idea of paying $3 for 20-ounce Coke is down right repulsive.

4. When speaking to others you pause to wait for the interpreter, who isn't actually there, to finish before you continue to talk.

5. When buying items at Walmart you attempt to haggle down their already low everyday prices.

6. You choose to walk everywhere because it's cheaper.

7. You sit down at 4pm expecting tea and bread.

8. If the wash and dryer is full you do your laundry by hand.

9. You carry your laptop into a gas station convenience store hoping it has wifi. (Yes, I actually did this)

10.  You leave your electronics plugged as much as possible because you're not sure when the power will go out and, if does, how long it will be out.

11. Lag during a Skype or Google+ conversation doesn't bother you.
