Mississippi-born, Tennessee-raised, Louisiana-rooted. I think those 3 phrases are probably the words that describe me the best. Having been born in Jackson, Mississippi, to parents from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, raised Memphis, Tennessee and now living on the other side of the state in Knoxville, I've found myself looking for a place to call home for the last few years. But no matter where I've lived one thing has remained constant, the presence of God. Growing up in a Christian household provided me with opportunity to learn about Christ at an early age and on an October night during my sophomore year at Union University I finally reached a point where I realized that I couldn't continue on without him. There have been ups and downs in the 10 years since that day but Jesus has never failed to show me what step to take next. So that brings me to today, about to embark on a new adventure and trusting that God will provide every step of the way.
