Today marks the end of our first week of working with the
youth in Manukau.  There are about
fifty-sixty awesome kids ranging from 3 or 4 years old up to late teen that we
have had the privilege to work with. 
On Monday and Thursday we brought the kids up to the Pre-Fab (trailer)
next to the house that we are staying in and played pool, ping-pong, jumped on the
tramp (trampoline), and played with the two guinea pigs and rabbit that live
here. Tuesday we traveled up to Northhead and walked around the tunnels that the New Zealand Army
dug back in the ‘40s in fear of a Japanese invasion during WWII.  On Wednesday we traveled up to One Tree
Hill, a volcano that has a fantastic 360* view of Auckland and the surrounding
area.  Also on Thursday night we
had a mini dance party with some of the older boys (who love to dance…they are
really into Tectonic music here!) and have a bit of man-time. Here is a quick
