So our days here in Thailand have been
fairly simple thus far. Each day
we wake up, pile 8-10 guys into the back of a truck called a “song-tail” and
head to work. Work generally
consists of digging ditches, cleaning fences, and/or cleaning up construction
mess. We stop at noon for lunch and because the temperatures here are generally
around 100*F that’s the end of our work day also. After lunch we head back to our house, shower, and
take care of random small tasks until dinner. Last Sunday started much the
same. We woke up, ate breakfast,
headed to church, and once back began to relax and take care of odds and ends.
However, before we could get too comfortable our contact’s wife comes running
into the house yelling, “Fire!! We need y’all to get ready, there is a fire at
the house and the girls need you to help put it out. “ Needless to say, Sunday was an eventful
