Hey Everybody!
I feel like I should explain our team name and share why it represents what we as a team are about. Our team chose the team name ZEO from several different candidates because of its great meaning. It means to be fervent, overflowing with enthusiasm. We desire that for our team- to be fervent in our obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and His calling to go out into the world to make disciples. We desire to be fervent in our love for others, in our servanthood to those who we meet along the way. We desire to be fervent in our search for the Lord’s heart and in our walk with Him, that we would be strengthened and weakened for His glory alone. And we desire to be overflowing with enthusiasm for what we have to give this world- our service and our Lord. We will laugh and love and cry our way around the world this next year.
What hurts at the bottom of your soul?
Can you cry without stopping the tears, hiding the tears because you
are afraid that they are washing away the face that you have created?
Can you laugh with such joy that others will look at you in terror- afraid that they are missing
something this world has not offered them? Can you find the pain that is in beauty, and the beauty that is in pain? Will you?
Can life come at you with fury and excitement and you not back down? Will you find the loneliness in the world and stamp it out with love or join in its ranks? Have you met Jesus in pages alone or in the flesh and blood that aches and cries and loves and dies?
Will you pour your enthusiasm into the coffers of the poor, of the rich, of the dead to bring them back to life? Will I?
