Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I am writing to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life. In 2006, I lived in Guatemala, Central America and during my stay I volunteered at an orphanage. I felt God call me to live out Isaiah 1:17, “To defend the orphans.” As I result, I returned to the University of Pittsburgh and obtained my master’s degree in Public Health. After a few years in corporate America, I feel God leading my heart in a different direction. I am thrilled to share that He is now calling me to serve as a missionary through an organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM), in their World Race program.
The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. I will be leaving September 2012 and returning August 2013. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, World Racers will act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $15,500 to go on the World Race. The funds would cover all of my expenses on the field. Your financial support can be given as a one-time gift or a recurring donation. If 26 people pledge $50 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip.
