If there was ever a day that I've wanted to go out in grand fashion by sending a cake to the boss that said "I quit mission work!"… it would be today (and it would look like the cake above).

Mission work is exhausting …and I'M. COMPLETELY. EXHAUSTED!

Today's thoughts:
Make sure you go to the doctor and get the 10,000 recommended vaccines so you don't get sick.
Note: You WILL get sick so…
buy international health insurance too.
– Buy a hiking bookbag. It's your closet for the next year.
Fundraise! You have to raise $3,500 by 06/30/12. – Completed!
– Buy a tent. It's your house for the next year.
– Fundraise! You have to raise $6,500 by 08/18/12.
– Buy a sleeping pad. It's your bed for the next year.
– Fundraise! You have to raise $11,000 by 12/01/12.
– Buy a sleeping bag. It's your comforter/warmth for the next year.
– Fundraise! You have to raise $15,500 by 03/01/12.
– Buy earplugs. There is no such thing as peace and quiet when you live in community and on travel days you are packed into crowded buses and trains.
– Hopefully I can raise enough money! What were those dates again?
– Training camp takes place July 14-21. WAIT! That's this coming weekend. I'm not ready!!
– Bring winter clothes. Ukraine and Moldova will be cold.
– Bring summer clothes. The remaining 9 countries you'll be sweating to death.

When did it become so complicated?

Is it fair to say with every good thing comes a season when you wrestle with the thought of walking away? Walking away from it ALL!

I know it's not super spiritual, but this is how I REALLY feel. Sorry.

Sometimes quitting seems a lot easier than pushing through the pain and exhaustion.

Don't worry, I'm not going to quit. I'm just having a moment.

I know people come to the blog to be encouraged so I'm sorry for being a debbie-downer today. It's just where I am.

Anyone else feel like they just want to quit ______ ?

If so, I hope you have encouraging people in your life that won't let you quit, that speak hope and tell you there's too much at stake to quit.

If not, I'll be that voice…DON'T GIVE UP! Quitting is not an option. Don't stop growing forward. Remember, you will always GROW through what you GO through. Keep going…AND GROWING!

But if you need some space to vent (or whine like me) about wanting to walk away because it would be easier, then feel free to vent in the comments section below.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed to the point that you wanted to walk away?
How do you deal with the feeling of walking away?
Have you ever walked away and regretted it later?
