Hello all!!!
This is my first blog post so I wanted to tell you about myself and give you an insight into why it is that I chose the world race. So I am 23 and was born and raised in the church. I have always had a heart for helping and working in different ministries along with other areas in my church. As a kid I attended a ministry in my church that was a mentoring program for boys. The ministries focused on three points to EQUIP, EMPOWER, and EVAGALIZE boys to be Christlike men. The program is a tool that men and boys, serving together, can use to evangelize their world, equip the next generation of Christlike men, and empower them to become lifelong servant leaders. That is what drove me to want to get involved in ministry. When I was a teenager I stared working in the children’s ministry. When I Graduated High School I became a leader in the mentoring program with the goal of teaching boys about Christ who wouldn’t have the ability to learn about him. There was always one thing that bothered me; people all around me have always said how terrible the world is and that there is no hope for it. There is a song by Matthew West called “Do Something” that really spoke to me. If you don’t know the song, the lyric talks about how a guy is disgusted at thought of the people being sold into slavery and other things then asks god why don’t you do something and god said I did I created you. You see people sit around and complain but never do anything about they just carry on life as if nothing happens. That is what bothers me, it may not bother others but I can’t sit around doing nothing and hope that someone else is going to do it when I am able to. Acts 20:24 says “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the good news of Gods grace.” So to wrap it up I choose to move or go wherever it is god will use me to speak his truth to others. That is why I chose to do the world race to reach the unreachable and do what others wont.
Thank you for your time and I hope you have a blessed day.
