It’s late at nite, and I’m sitting
in the Johannesburg airport after a month of many blessings in Cape Town, South
Africa. Photos to come, after I have time to sort through all the awesomeness.

For now, I’m here to
report that all of the finances needed by P-squad this month were provided. The roughly halfway mark at which World Racers are required to be
fully funded has come and gone, and
not one of the sixty-four of us will be forced to go home.

Personally, I witnessed $730 stream in within ten days of my blog post on 20-December, and I am so blown away. This
is the second time during my support raising experience that God has really rocked me with His provision, and a stronger precedent is being established
to help me trust Him with future needs. Thank you so much for your prompt response and your
generosity; God has truly used you to plant and keep a missionary in the field.

although
I’m
technically not one-hundred-percent funded quite yet, I’m very close – I
need $67.75
(in additional to regular monthly contributions) to hit the required
amount of
$14300. And, if contributions exceed this magic number, that money will
be
still be added to my account, and I can receive reimbursement for
pre-Race
expenses. This applies to things like vaccinations, travel medical
insurance,
travel to training camp and launch; up to a maximum of $1500. In
the
spirit of full disclosure, I feel compelled to tell you that if I am
able to receive any reimbursement, there’s a good possibility some of it
might be spent at Taco Bell as soon as I get back to the ‘States! More practically, I could use the money to help buy a plane ticket home.

Again, thank you so much for all your support in the way of
encouragement, prayer, and finances. I love you, and I look forward to sharing
stories with you soon.
