So recently one of my squad mates recommended that we all read a 40-day devotional together called, “Before You Go” by Jack Hempfling. This devotional is all about preparing your heart, mind, and spirit for what God is going to do in and through you before, during, and after you embark on a short term mission.
This morning’s devo was all about “Taking others with you”.
Now your first thought might be, “Well aren’t you already going with 40+ other people?? You’re already taking others with you.” But that isn’t exactly what he means when he says that. What the author is talking about is taking others with you through support.
Now obviously you all have already blessed my socks off with financial support already. And I don’t doubt for one second that you guys are praying for me. But another one of my squad mates came up with a great idea of starting a list of prayer warriors that will choose to set aside some time one day each month to pray for me, my team, and my squad. I’m looking for people that aren’t just going to look at prayer as a last resort but they look at it as a weapon of power to use against the devil and his evil schemes!
