Sorry for the delay, this is the first time I’ve been online in like two weeks, and it’s so great!

The rest of our time in Bolivia was so great! We spent our time living with a local pastor named Max and his wife Claudia. They were so incredibly hospitable and wonderful to live with. We spent a lot of the rest of the month serving the community, including A LOT of painting! We painted pastor Max’s church inside and out, re-painted/touched up a mural at a daycare at the Lutheran church, and painted the inside of two rooms at the Baptist church.

We also had many opportunities to speak at different church services. Whether it was sharing testimonies or preaching a sermon we had many opportunities to share Jesus with the community. This was something that made me a little nervous going into it. Even though I have a lot of experience in public speaking from working with the Silver Ring Thing, preparing a “sermon” is not necessarily my strong suit. But as soon as I began preparing, God began speaking. As I was praying about what to share on, God laid the topic of faith on my heart. So my first thought was “Great! Peter walking on water it is! Perfect!” But it almost seemed like God said, “Psych! How about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego??” And my first thought was, “I’m pretty sure I’ve only read that story once, are you sure?” But sure enough, He was pretty positive. And looking back on it now I really believe God spoke to me though that story. That there are going to be times on this race where things are going to get difficult. Times where people aren’t going to be very happy with my faith. Times where I may be looked down upon for what I believe. And times where I may be asked to do things that I REALLY don’t want to do. But in the end, it will be worth it and will all be for my good and His glory!

Bolivia was not only an incredible month of ministry, but an incredible month of adventure as well! From renting a motorcycle (only for a few hours but still!), to visiting a 300ft waterfall and doing some cliff jumping there (and losing my gopro), to getting to personally drive a vehicle on the worlds most dangerous road (aka The Death Road), to getting to see some of the most incredible stars from a 15,230ft mountain pass. God really knows how to fill my life with some incredible adventure, and that was only month one!

Well Peru is almost over now, hopefully I can cram that one into a single blog for all of you! Soon it’s off to Ecuador for month three already! WOW!
