Well I just got to my ministry site here in Chimaltenengo at the Life Unlimited Homes. It's been a great few days to start my race. But I want to tell you about a little boy here who has stolen my heart. His name is Unberto and he is about three years old. I met him on our first day here when I walked into the house and there were just kids running wild everywhere. I had no idea what to do so I just sat at the table for about fifteen minutes feeling like i was way too deep in over my head. But then I decided to just get over myself and do something, after all isn't this why I'm here. To love children who have no one to give them any love. So I went and sat down among the kids and they were a little shy at first but little Unberto walked right up to me and just sat down on my lap.
We began to play and laugh together, I would make make faces and he would laugh, and then I started to tickle him and play little games with him. I'll never forget that little face looking up at me and giggling with pure joy everytime I so much as looked at him. I've begun to think that this must be what our Father feels like whenever we climb up on His lap and begin to giggle with Him. I wonder how joyful He gets when we climb up on His lap and just wait for Him to look at us and play with us. I have been learning how to live in this presence of God constantly and consistently, and I don't know why anyone would ever want to live in anything else. Learn to live in the presence of God and listen to His voice. And then don't ever leave, stay in it every minute of every day and see how much the Father will rejoice with you.
