We made it Kathmandu, Nepal!!! Can you believe it, three months in and we reach Asia. I have to tell you that excitement just filled the air as we got off the plane.  There was just something different about this month, a new air, a new breath, a new feeling. I just sat in that thought for a second, that God had something new for us this month. In the end we had realized that it was a new boldness that we were going to have to walk in this month. New strength and power that God was building in us to preach His message to these people.

I woke up and it was a normal Monday morning, normal enough for the race, and I felt that I needed to go play guitar with this guy I met in a silk shop the day prior, so me and two other racers set out for our day of who knows what’s in store. We get on a public bus, which can best be described as a 15 passenger van and we are on our way. Three world racers, two guitars and a city waiting to hear about God. We ended up having a great discussion with a high school student on the bus who was able to tell us about the city and we were able to discuss our faith with. We eventually got to the city to meet with our friend from the silk shop.
We walk inside to talk with this guy and sure enough he was there. So we sat and played. Sitting playing worship music and talking to him about faith and what he believes. It turns out that we were playing with three muslim men, yep, the only thought I had was God led us to play worship songs with three muslim men!!!! Ok God, whatever you have planned for today it’s in your hands. So we just kept sitting and playing, for three hours. In the end I got to leave my Bible with these men hoping that they might be compelled to read it and something may come of it.

But our day was not over. We thought it would be enjoyable to go to this tourist thing called a monkey temple, so we went. It was crazy seeing people praying to a statue and worst than that is having to pay to enter to pray. It just didn’t sit well with us so we felt that though we can’t speak the same language or do anything to stop them we can worship our God. So we pulled out our guitars and got to sit in front of these idols and worship the true God, and as we sit in front of a huge buddha I had one thought I am so glad that we worship a God that lives and breathes and that is not made of stone.

That’s what this month is about for me, being bold, walking in truth and faith and knowing that no matter what is going on around me I worship a God that is alive and cares, cares enough for these people to send me and cares enough for me to give me a chance to bring forth His name.
