There is this game that I’ve played, often in youth group, called Bigger or Better. It’s a super fun game, and the basics of the game is that you start off with a penny or a paper clip and you would go throughout a neighborhood or residence hall or mall, you get the idea, and try to trade your starting item with something Bigger or Better. Now the game never seems like it’s gonna work, you have people who doubt and say that you will not be able to trade up from a paper clip to anything, but that’s where your wrong. You would be shocked at what people have traded for in this game: a bike, a bathtub, a washer and dryer, an electric piano, a TV, a couch, over a hundred records, I’ve seen some crazy things at the end of this game. Well, I explain this to you to let you know why I’m doing this race. I’m putting my life on the line. I’m starting with my life and trading it to God, for whatever he has in place for me. It will probably look completely different then what I expected it to, there will probably be some times of doubt that it won’t work, and honestly there will probably be a place where I don’t want to trade up anymore, but I have. I have to strive for the end of the game knowing that when I give my life to God to trade up he will change me to be Bigger and Better.
