Ok have you ever had a moment when
after you sit there and think how did that just happen? Where you have to stop
and ask someone if that was real. Moments when you look back you know that the
only way that was able to happen was if God had acted through you. This blog
just so happens to be about one of those moments.
We were at the school one day and
we began praying for it. So we started as a group and then decided to break off
into little groups of two in four rooms and then have other people walk around
and pray for the rooms. As we deciding who was going to be stationary and who
was going to move around Henry the boy who God has put on my heart grabbed my
hand and said we were gonna go stay in a room so he led me by the hand and took
my into a room. When we got into that room we picked out a corner and then I
laid my hands on it and began praying. Rebecca Soon joined us, and then she
prayed but this is when I knew God was in that room. Henry without having to be
asked just started praying for the school for his community and for his faith.
Now those who know me know I don’t speak Spanish what so ever, yet I could
understand what his prayer was for. I closed us in prayer for the group and
then fell to my knees with this emotion of sorrow for the community and I
softly began praying to myself. After I finished I heard Rebecca and Lindsay
crying as they were praying, so I got off my knees and went over to them and
laid hands on them. To my surprise Henry did the same thing and then began
praying for the girls with his hands on them, This is when God hit me the
hardest I started praying with only a few things in my head that I felt needed
to be said but I kept going and I had no idea where the words were coming from
The Holy Spirit was speaking through me for the school for the community for
our two teams and for the boys. The entire time I was doing this Lindsay who is
the best speaking Spanish person on our team started translating what I was
saying just as fast as I was saying them, as she was doing that Henry started
to cry softly to himself. The Lord is in Los Pinos. How can we be discouraged
when the Lord can work miracles like that? God is with us and when we are doing
his work he is glorified. Having moments like that to hold onto is what makes
every struggle every hardship that I know I will face in my Christian walk conquerable.
Nothing can stand in our way if we walk with God.
