Sometimes it just takes that one moment, that one day, that one person, that one “coincidence” to turn your whole month around, your experience around, your race around.

As you all know, we had an unexpected, crazy adventure in Ethiopia. We got out of the war zone safely, but we were all discouraged because we didn’t get to do much ministry throughout the month. Surprisingly, God has ways of supernaturally turning things around when you least expect it.

As we got settled in the capital, Addis Ababa, we “randomly” ran into a few strangers in the elevator mall on our first day.

What was a coincidence actually turned into a divine connection. A man from Fresno, CA happened to be working with a local organization that connected us to do a few ministries while we were in the city for the week.

Here are a few things that we did:

  1. Visiting a homeless shelter
  2. Doing a medical give away at a remote village
  3. Ministering to hundreds of children
  4. Praying for the sick

We also met a bunch of new friends while at it! I’m thankful that God still had something special planned on our last week in Ethiopia!

Thank you God for showing me how redemption looks like!
