Why would a God who is PERFECT, suffer for us?
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him

This is the scripture that God lead me to one night. I have been thinking about this passage all week, reading it over and over.
God has been re-teaching me some things.
These are the things that I came up with as I was pondering the question above
How UNWORTHY are we
How UNDESERVING are we
God created us
God LOVES us because He created us
He wants us to be with Him FOREVER
He wants a RELATIONSHIP with us
He wants to KNOW us
He was BEATEN and PUNISHED so that we could be SAVED and have PEACE
He is the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE because He is perfect
He LOVES us so much that He gives us a free gift called GRACE
He has SAVED us from our sinful desires and desires us to draw close to Him
No amount of good could ever pay for what Jesus Christ has done for us by dying on the cross
Because God loves us so much, He couldn’t let sin stand in the way, so He sent Jesus Christ to carry the weight of our sin
