Uganda was a rough start for me and my team.  It was just all new and different from what
we experienced in Kenya.  There was also
a heaviness on our team.  After being
here for a couple of days we decided that everyone needed some prayer so we
took some time one night and just prayed.
Things started to get a lot better after this…the heaviness that was
once there was gone and people including myself were becoming more excited
about the ministry here in Uganda and what God has for us this month.

This month
we have been going to the local schools a lot.
We have been placed in classrooms and have been teaching.  The first time this happened I was placed in
a first grade class.  It was very weird
and I was not very comfortable.  Now I
love it!!  The other day I was teaching
third grade science.  I taught on the
life cycle of a mosquito HaHa.  I had no
idea about this but I just went with it and learned something myself that day.

We have
also been doing a lot of preaching.  I
have Preached two times this month.  Once
during the main service at the church we are working with.  The second time was at a nursing school.  If you know me at all you know that I don’t
like speaking in front of large groups.
God has been growing me in this area.
I am by no means a professional at preaching and still have a long way
to go but it has been cool to see God growing me in this area.

We have
also been doing some door to door.  We
have been visiting some of the clinics around which have been awesome!  We actually got to go inside and pray
withfor the patients.

Once we
got over ourselves and got rid of the heaviness that was over our team it is turning out to be a great month.  We only
have about 2 or so weeks left here then its off to Rwanda.  Oh and let me just tell you yesterday(9-21-11) was my
birthday and it was the best birthday ever!!
I will be writing a blog about that very soon.
