At the beginning of the week our friend Eli was telling us that she was going to Singapore over the weekend. We thought it would be cool if we could go with her and she agreed. Only one problem the world race leaders would never let us go or so we thought. We ended up getting this trip approved for me, Olivia, Peggy and Kayla to take a weekend trip to Singapore with our friend Eli.
We left Malaysia on a 10 hour train ride at Midnight Friday. We were fortunate to get sleeper cars on the way there so that we could sleep and be well rested for our big day. We arrived in Singapore about 10am on Saturday and we were off! We spent some time shopping at the mall and getting starbucks coffee mmmm. We spent time at Universal Studios looking around at all the scenery and the ocean. My favorite part of the day was when we went to the casino!! I had never been to a casino and have always wanted to do a slot machine. I was supper excited at this point. We signed up for a membership and placed down 10 bucks and we started pushing the button. I would push the button clap my hands and say big money, big money. Who would have thought that I would be a big winner. I walked away that day with 80 bucks USD.
We then hopped on the metro train and headed to the very south of Singapore to a place called Marina Bay. Yes, in less than 24 hours we traveled from the very north of Singapore to the very south of Singapore. By the time we got to Marina Bay it was getting dark. The buildings were massive and so beautiful all lit up. We were gonig to see a light and water show but…we went to the wrong location so we had to run to the right location. We made it just in the nick of time. The light and water show was absolutely amazing. After enjoying the show we went to a pizzeria and had the most expensive meal of my life!! I spent 33 bucks on pizza and water eeeek!!!
We then had to rush to catch the bus that would take us to the train station because once again we were running late. We made it just in time. We got to the train station right beofre imigration closed. For a few hours our beds would be a metal bench right infront of the Airconditioning. I couldn’t stop shivering I was so cold. Our train didn’t leave until 5:30am and it was only midnight.
We got up a few minutes before our train was to leave. We were hungry so Eli, Peggy and I went to KFC to get some breakfast. While we were waiting for our food Kayla comes up and tells us that they had called for our train a few minutes ago. Eli says ok we have to run. Once again we were off running to catch the train. We made it safe and sound onto the train.
Operation pull the lever has been pulled!!
